Annual Thanksgiving Buffet

If weather permits, our Annual Thanksgiving buffet will take place under the beautiful Allee of Oaks, otherwise it will take place indoors.

You can learn how to dance the night away right here at Houmas House! Starting on Wednesday, November 5th we will be hosting dance classes for Jitterbug and other dances, taught by Beverly Cook! We had so much fun last season, we are bringing it back!

The four class sessions will take place from 6:15 pm – 7:30 pm each Wednesday and will cost $60 + tax and booking fee per person for all four classes.

Our event begins in the Dixie Cafe where you can purchase a specialty Christmas cocktail then stroll through the gardens to enjoy our spectacular Holiday Decorations. We invite you to take a quick group photo under our beautifully decorated Burnside Oak, the largest in the world. To be followed by a Christmas ladies luncheon in the Carriage House Restaurant.

Baton Rouge Symphony 
Holiday Brass

The beautiful grounds of Houmas House and Gardens set the scene for a special edition of Holiday Brass. The Symphony brass and percussion players perform traditional holiday favorites, including some BRSO custom arrangements. Make a night of it, and schedule dinner at one of the estate’s fabulous restaurants by calling 225-473-9380 or by clicking book dinner reservation below.
