Houmas House has become a favorite plantation to visit for large groups of all ages. Our expansive gardens, large restaurants and frequent tour schedule makes it easy to accommodate groups of any size. Whether you are planning a day trip from New Orleans or Baton Rouge, a stop along the I-10 corridor, or an evening visit with dinner and an overnight, Houmas House has a package suitable for your itinerary.
Groups consisting of 15 or more qualify for this group rate.
Tour & Lunch
Our tour and lunch package consists of the guided mansion tour, self-guided grounds tour and an expansive buffet lunch in Dixie Café. You should allow at least 3 hours for this option. If the group exceeds 60 people, our group coordinator will help with timing and advise you on how to plan your visit.
The River Road Buffet menu is the best choice for large groups because it offers a wide variety of Louisiana favorites and can accommodate many food allergies. If there is a specific dietary need our staff will work with you to accommodate it.

- Mansion and Garden Tour Ticket: $25.00 plus tax (8.95%)

- Mint Julep Reception– For an extra $10.00 per person your group can enjoy a mint julep upon arrival. Mint Juleps are known as a favorite Southern cocktail made with bourbon or rum and fresh mint. Our Mint Juleps are made with mint straight out of the Houmas House herb garden. This option must be ordered in advance and an exact head count provided prior to arrival.
- Wine with Lunch– A glass of red or white house wine can be offered during lunch for $10.00 per person.
Night Tour with Dinner
Houmas House offers evening mansion tours at 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The gardens are self-guided and can be enjoyed either before or after the mansion tour and/or dinner.
Dinner is in The Carriage House Restaurant which is located next to The Turtle Bar. The 3-course dinner offers a salad or soup, main entrée and dessert. The group leader will select the menu in advance and all guests will have the same items. Our group coordinator will work with you to choose the best items for your group. Wine by the glass may be added to this option for $10.00 per glass.

Overnight with Tour & Dinner
The Inn at Houmas House has become a favorite option for a plantation overnight for smaller groups. With only 20 rooms available, this option is more suitable for intimate incentive groups. Group rates for The Inn are offered for 5 or more rooms and based on availability. Mansion and Garden tour tickets and a full American breakfast are included in the room rate.

Information for Tour Leader & Bus Driver
Free bus parking is available in the main parking lot located near the Inn at Houmas House. Upon arrival, guests may unload in front of the gift shop before the bus parks on the far end of the parking lot.
Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to scheduled tour time or lunch to allow plenty of time for check-in, restroom and to walk to either the restaurant or the site to meet the tour guide.
The group leader should check-in with the gift shop and notify of their arrival. They will be given tour tickets (stickers to wear on shirt) and brief instructions. If guests are touring the mansion first, they should be brought to the bell next to The Turtle Bar to meet their tour guide. If a meal is scheduled first, they should go directly to the restaurant. Ground maps will be handed out to all guests.
Should any guests need a golf cart to transport them, please let us know prior to your arrival.
