Visitors to Houmas House Plantation and Gardens can build their trip into an adventure that includes nearby shopping, dinning, attractions and other plantations.

Many other historic plantation sites are located within minutes of Houmas House, some of which are not open for tours. The grand old homes are, however, friendly to photographers and the facts on their historic plaques help immerse visitors in the Great River Road experience.
